The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion – Book Review

The Rosie Project by Graeme Simsion has been on my to read list for months, if not close to a year and finally over the Christmas break I was able to sit down and enjoy The Rosie Project
The Rosie Project is a book with a difference and you will be wanting to read it in one sitting.
Don Tillman is a man with a difference, he is a professor and enjoys statistics and a tight schedule including a set meal for each night of the week. His schedule is so tight that he sometimes will need to shuffles things around but only if they are important and does not ruin his schedule.
Don is lonely and decides he wants to start The Wife Project – designed around who Don would think would be his perfect wive, including a long questionnaire to assist including social status, health status and other invasive questions.
Through a series of unsuccessful applicants Don starts to believe there may not be his one soul mate, but things change when he meets Rosie.
Without giving away too much of the story, it is truly an unexpected journey and I found myself saying no way or not again throughout the novel.
This is a truly fantastically written book and I think everyone will relate to this book on some level.
It really is the modern story of love, love finds you in the most random place and time in your life that you may just not notice.
I am so excited to start The Rosie Effect and whilst I have not googled if a movie is in the works, I think they would be crazy not to turn this into a movie for us to enjoy.
My prediction for Don would be either Steve Carrell or Jason Bateman, I had them both in mind whilst reading this novel.
Have you read The Rosie Project?
Who would be your prediction of who would play Don in a movie version?
