Starry Eyes Book Tour and Review

A lot can happen in the wilderness and Starry Eyes by Jenn Bennett will take us on an adventure like no other.

Publication date: June 1, 2018

Publisher: Simon & Schuster

Synopsis from Publisher:

Ever since last year’s homecoming dance, best-friends-turned-worst-enemies Zorie and Lennon have made an art of avoiding each other. It doesn’t hurt that their families are the modern-day version of the Montagues and Capulets. But when a group camping trip goes south, Zorie and Lennon find themselves stranded in the wilderness. Alone. Together.

Zorie and Lennon have no choice but to try to make their way to safety. But as the two travel deeper into the rugged Californian countryside, secrets and hidden feelings surface. Soon it’s not simply a matter of enduring each other’s company, but taming their growing feelings for each other.

Sweet Little Pretties Review:

Starry Eyes is just what I needed to read with Best Friends turning worst enemies set in the wilderness, what could possibly be more captivating. We are introduced to Zorie and Lennon who have made it their mission to avoid and not engage with each other but when a mutual group of camping friends goes astray they are found trapped with only each other to get back, they can work together or against each other.

Starry Eyes tugged on all my emotions during reading, there were some times I was angry with the girls, scared for them and in tears – a roller coaster of emotions in just over 400 pages. It is a true page turner and if I didn’t have to care for a baby in between it would have been read in one sitting!

This is the first novel of Jenn Bennett’s I have read and now I want to read her other novels as I loved the pace, character build up and the whole novel. I loved the addition of maps with landmarks and scenery which added another layer of Zorie and Lennon’s adventure…..or misadventure together. I would love to share more of this novel but for me personally I feel like you need to read it without knowing too much about the relationship of Zorie and Lennon.

Overall this book is 5 out of 5 stars
