Cotton + Steel Basics Stardust Sprinkle and Cotton + Steel Basics Plummy XOXO would be a fun combo!

I’m thinking some kona solids in black, gray and green to give it a mine craft look for my 11 year old grandson. I know that’s 3 colors so, black and gray would be my two color fabric choices.

    January 30, 2016

Sweet pillow that I think would be perfect in shades of grey with a splash of soft buttery yellow!

  • Janna

    January 30, 2016

I would use a Kona medium gray and a Kaffe Fassett shot cotton.

I would like to do the castle in gold and silver. That would be a rich pillow to sleep on.

I’ve been trying to find a project for Art Gallery’s Wonderland collection. I think I’d go with the Plum Enchanted Leaves where you put green, and maybe the Dance Diamond Flush for your gray…but there are so many other prints I like, I’d have to fit them in somewhere…

Pink and Aqua are my choices probably using Bella solids. Thanks!

I would use Nature Walk Stepping Stones in Azalea and Mineral to give it a real castle look! I think the colors would contrast wonderfully while still giving it that “stone” look.

Well as for fabric choices, I know I would not just use solids. I would use prints for the castle and towers construction and a beautiful Bella solid for the background.

I wonder if the frog in Tula Pink’s prints would work in the tower window. And a rock print I have for the castle construction. Hmm. the possibilities.

Love your choice of green for your castle. I would make my castle with
Lil’ Red Pink Sweet Hearts and Lil’ Red Red Grandma’s Wallpaper from the Lil’ Red by Stacy Iest Hsu for Moda Fabrics line. So adorable for a little girl!!!

I’m sure I could find some fabrics to make a great manly castle using Parson Grey’s Empire fabric lines, but I’d also like to make a crazy version in some Alison Glass Handmade fabrics.

I’ve been itching to get my hands on some of Amy Sinibaldi’s Paperie line, so I would probably use Paperie Eponine light blue color for the main color, then the Paperie Happily Ever After (quite appropriate name for this project) and I feel although slightly more “girly” with a solid gray thrown in it could work for either boy or girl! 🙂

I’d make this really cozy with flannel and Cuddle cloth. I’d use Let it Snow’s teal snowflakes for the background (it’s snowing at this castle) and then use Cuddle cloth in white for the snow piled up on the roof and pale blue for the walls. And, of course, more snowflakes for the back. Yum! Thanks so much for the giveaway, Lisa.

My little princess loves purple (so do I!), so my choices have to follow her wishes! The two fabrics from Fat Quarter Shop I’d use to make this pillow are:
Dot Dot Dash Purple Mini Yardage
    Kona Cotton Cornflower Yardage.
I know they’d look great together!

My GGDs would love these pillows. The 6-year-old loves pink ( with brown?) The 2 year old probably wouldn’t care what colors as long as she got one, too. I’d choose yellow and blue to go with her blonde hair and sparkly blue eyes.
