Welcome to Sweet Little Pretties

A fun and friendly place to share all your creative journeys

Sweet Little Pretties collaborates my passion for all crafts and baking into one place where you too can go on the journey and share your passion.
I started Sweet Little Pretties in 2010 to document my craft life in the lead up to my wedding in 2011. After I returned from my Honeymoon and decided I wanted to purchase a sewing machine as I adored all the fabrics I found online. Sweet Little Pretties has grown into a place to share and discuss your creative journey.
A question I always get asked is why did I call myself Sweet Little Pretties?
Sweet Little Pretties came to me – I wanted a name that would reflect any project I shared whether it was the pretty pincushion tutorial, the sweet treat and the little indulging book recommendation. Sweet Little Pretties reflects everything I aim to bring you each and everyday, whether you are having a good day or a bad day a little prettie will always make you smile.

Who am I?
Lisa Headshot
My name is Lisa and I live in the gorgeous Sydney, Australia with my gorgeous husband, Mr SLP.
I am a obsessive crafter, shopper, reader and baker of all the sweet things. I am 27 but sometimes mistaken for someone well beyond my years as you will find me sitting on the couch with my knitting or at the sewing machine on a Saturday night rather than out and about.
I have always been creative and when I get asked what is my favourite craft, who is my favourite author is or even who my favourite fabric designer is?  I struggle as I want to be involved with everything and any thing I can get my hands on to unleash my creativity.
Here are 3 fun facts about me
–  I am a self-taught crafter and will always give anything a try.
– During High School I thoroughly enjoyed textiles and hospitality but was told coming into electives that I was not suitable to to continue to do textiles, I was disappointed but I applied myself elsewhere whilst finishing my High School Education. I am sure they will be amazed at what I get to call my living now….I think my High School Reunion will be interesting.
– As a child I was on a segment of Totally Wild where I got to show my skills as a bird watcher and also do an origami crane.
